In the present material, the author examines the historical context in which Service Regulation K–III–1, Service Activity in Remount Administration Establishments – Military Stud Farm at Horné Motešice, originated. This was a service regulation issued by the Ministry of National Defence in Bratislava in 1941, which came into force the following year (1942). In a more broadly conceived introductory section, the author outlines the history of military horse breeding in this region. She subsequently publishes a transcription of the aforementioned service regulation, supplemented by editorial notes.
