Following the direct participators' memories the author endeavours to reconstruct the activities of Žilina uprising held on 29. and 30. August 1944. As an illustration material were applied those memories. Following these memories the author approaches the activity of major Dobrovodsky (Žilina garrison commander) and his subordinate commanders. The work brings some of interesting moments from anti-fascist upheaval in Žilina garrison, arresting of the official garrison commander, rcconnaisance activity of the Žilina uprising participators on 30. August etc.
