The author in the study set himself a target to bring new facts and to disprove so far petrified and simplified opinions connected with antifascism of Slovak troops in the eastern front, particularly with Pavol Marcely. It may be said that there is a lot of ideological falsity and fiction in this topic. The study results from the evaluation of sources of this topic. The author tries to analyse existing written materials and aims at works of „older authors“, The author describes a self-repugnant destiny of P. Marcely himself and quotes authors who wrote on his changeover to the Red Army side.
