In 1939 – 1945, the Slovak armed forces established intensive relationships with the German armed forces. During this period, the members thereof attended many specialized training courses and fellowships at the German military schools and training centres, obtaining valuable theoretical knowledge and mastering practical skills of the German professional soldiers. One of the first such study visits of the Slovak Army members was the so called eight-week training of the Slovak Air Forces at the Aufklärungsfliegerschulle in Brieg. As yet unpublished incomplete report on the stay of the Slovak aviators at this specialized flight school has preserved in the collection of MNO SR 1939-1945, confidential files 1940. Content of the document provides us with interesting remarks of the Slovak aviators about this school as well as their valuable observations regarding the education and training of the German Luftwaffwe members.
