The author’s ambition is to elucidate the activity of Polish couriers in the Polish-Slovak border section in the county of Stará Ľubovňa. At the beginning of the study, the author outlines organization of the illegal resistance network which was a part of the Polish foreign resistance. A significant amount of attention is paid to the illegal people smuggling by Polish couriers through the Polish-Slovak borders. It is pointed out that the beginnings of illegal activities in Stará Ľubovňa were connected with establishment of the CS military unit in Poland. Its mission was to help refugees, especially the Czech citizens fleeing through Slovakia to Poland. A lot of attention is also paid to the illegal activity of smuggling Polish refugees to Hungary, spreading after the defeat of Poland. In this connection, the author also analyses activity of the national power-repressive body in suppression of the resistance. The study also marks the activity connected with smuggling of Jews fleeing from Poland.
