The author introduces the readers to the photographs from the album of Henrich Lišovský, offi cer of the 32nd home-defence (Honved) Infantry Regiment during the World War 1. In the opening part, he focuses on the projects and exhibitions prepared for the public by the Eastern Slovakian Museum in Košice as a part of the 100th anniversary of the World War 1. Within one of them, PhDr. Mária Mihóková donated the album of photographs of the aforementioned Henrich Lišovský to the museum. When the war broke out, he was 22 years old. In his album, he collected the photographs of the Regiment since its mobilisation, deployment on both the Eastern and Italian frontline. There are also photographs from the troops training, military parades, visits of the Regiment by the Emperor Charles as well as photographs of the local inhabitants of Halič, the Italian towns and H. Lišovský himself (222 pieces of photographs in total). Descriptions of the photographs in the album are suitably accompanied by information about the development of the 32nd home-defence Infantry Regiment deployment on the frontlines of the World War 1, using the domestic and foreign literature. The text is illustrated by 20 selected photographs.
