The author presents the personal stories of six members of the highest generality in the Austrian-Hungarian Army during the World War 1.He follows their origin, family relations and career development including accolades. The following personalities have been introduced: Žigmund Bacsák, Štefan Bartheldy, Samuel Hazai, Heinrich Kummer, Eduard Plank, Karol Tersztyánszky.
