The article presents the fate of Michal Durkaj, who actively fought against the German Armed Forces in 1940 and 1944-1945 in the Czechoslovak Foreign Resistance in France and Great Britain during the World War 2. After the end of the War, he participated in the formation and training of specialized aerial reconnaissance units and Intelligence airdrops. He was politically persecuted in the 1950s, dismissed from the army and rehabilitated in 1968.
