The submitted material is aimed at introducing the reader to the professional and resistance activities of the Staff Sgt. František Müller as a long-time member of the military intelligence of the Czechoslovak pre-war army. On a broader scale, the text presents a probe into the functioning and specific activities of the members of the Czechoslovak Army Sergeant Corps in the military intelligence apparatus in the inter-war period and in the resistance at the beginning of the Nazi occupation. The material draws mainly from the study of sources stored in the Military Central Archive – Military Historical Archive in Prague, National Archive (Prague) and the Archive of Security Forces (Prague and Brno).
