The topic addressed by the author is processed based on extensive research of contemporary archival materials, supplemented with information from scientific, scientific-popular, popular literature and contemporary press. First of all, it is based on the results of an in-depth analysis, followed by a comprehensive evaluation and processing of the information derived from the documents of personal nature. In this, a distinctive role is played by the information drawn by the author from the flight notebook of Air Force Col. J. Trnka issued for use in 1934, his personal records professionally managed in domestic and foreign specialized archives. This valuable information about his aviation activity during the first year of practical air force service in the aviation regiment is supplemented by data from archival documents professionally managed at the Institute of Military History - Military History Archive Bratislava and the Military Central Archive - Military History Archive Prague. The topic in question is an interesting probe approaching the life of a young officer of the Czechoslovak Air Force in the pre-war period.
