The aim of the study was to address the issue of memorials to fallen members of the Czechoslo­vak Legions in Slovakia. The text is structured in two parts. The first one is focused on the ana­lysis of the memory of the Czechoslovak legions in Czechoslovakia and Slovakia. It is trying to determine the number of fallen legionaries of Slovak origin. The study discusses different types of legionary monuments and memorial plaques in Slovakia. The second part is dedicated to the issue of memorials to the fallen in the battles with the Hungarian Soviet Republic. The author deals with the forms of presentation of official memory at monuments in the period of the First Czechoslovak Republic in the ethnically mixed areas of southern Slovakia. He also observes further stories of individual objects.
