The study traces the journey of a largely forgotten group of civilian female employees of the Security Division from Minsk, through Italy, to Slovakia in late 1943. Based on police testimonies, it reconstructs the group’s personnel composition and social background. It examines decisions about their further placement in Slovakia, which included deployment in production or detention in an internment camp. It also follows the efforts of their acquaintances, friends and former employers to secure their release. In one specific case, it identifies a member of the group among the victims of Nazi terror after the suppression of the Uprising.
