This study charts the service and representation of professional soldiers from the armed forces of the Slovak Republic within the senior command corps of the Czechoslovak Army and its higher levels of command and control after 1945. It also examines the broader context and circumstances in which this process took shape. In addition, it provides a complete list, specifying the roles of those who served on active duty with the ranks of colonel and general. The study also includes overviews showing the years in which these individuals were promoted or appointed to these senior ranks.
