The published material deals with the written memories of General Mikuláš Ferjentik, State Secretary of the Ministry of National Defence in 1945 — 1946 and the authorised person of the interior, who emigrated just after seizing the power by the communists. The first memory is related to his operation in the function of the authorised person of interior and in the second one he describes all connections of his enforced leaving to emigration as well as the conditions of his stay in West Germany and later on in the United States of America. The documents come from the Archives of Czechs and Slovak abroad (ACASA) at the University of Chicago and they were published in the information bulletin of the Czechoslovakian National Council American in 1848. They have not been published in Slovakia yet.
