"Hie author of this contribution shortly describes the process of development of the firearms in the European history. The article as well as observes the conditions of manufacturing of the armaments in the conditions of manufacturing of the armaments in the Slovakia's towns during the Century 15. The analysis follows the professional activity of the „Fabrication of Riflemen“. Especially is described the process of manufacturing af cannons and of rifles. The unique archival document - the inventory of the armaments - preserves and gives evidence about armaments from the town's fortification in Bratislava. The contribution as well as shows how the riflemen lived and how their society position before Mohacs battle and after it was. In the Century 17 the riflemen were incorporated into newfounded rifle's guilds.
