The materials called as „the Army in the year 1938“ come from the extensive inquiry of the Czechoslovak military forces HQ. The inquiry was performed by the 3rd operational branch of the HQ in between the years 1938 - 1939. In the introduction the authors state that the addressors of the inquiry were all elements of the Czechoslovak military force, starting with branches at the Ministry of National Defence and HQ through military land Headquarters, Headquarters of superior units - from corps and divisions to regiments and separated batallions. In the offered material the authors aimed at the selection of documents which are associated with the superior units and military bodies at the Slovak territory. There are 9 documents totally which are not chronologically organised, but structured according to sequency access - from the HQ corps to battalion HQ.
