The study deals with the relatively little-known aspects of Rumanian-Slovak diplomatic and military relations during the Second World War. On the basis of Rumanian sources he outlines the establishment of diplomatic (and military-diplomatic) relations between the two states, that were linked together by a common deal alter 1940: anti-Hungarian effort in the policy of both states aimed at bringing back the territories occupied by Hungary. The study puts stress on specific forms of diplomatic relations with special respect to similar relations of both states to Hungary and revitalisation of the so-called Small Agreement together with Croatia.

Key words: Military History. World War 2. Rumanian - Slovak military relations.
