The author deals in this study with the issues of the set aside Peoples' Hungarian Army (PHA) units, that participated within the C Army Group in the military intervention and the following occupation of Czechoslovakia. On the basis of the primary document studies supplemented by the memories of the former Chief of the General Staff of the PHA, K. Csémi, he provides a reconstruction of the reparatory phase of the military' intervention in the former Czechoslovakia, analyses the share of the 8th Motorised Infantry Division, that after being strengthened with reserves and military technical equipment to war-time numbers performed combat tasks within the „Dunaj“ (Danube) operation being supported by air force and logistic units.
