Tire author outlines the achieved level of knowledge in the historio-graphy on the Slovaks generally in the King and Emperor's Navy. He confronts and reviews some data, often taken over without any criticism from the Austrian historian H. Sokol, as for example those on national composition in the Austro-Hungarian Navy generally and particularly in the period of the WW1 and the relevant incorrect data on the number of Slovaks in the Austro-Hungarian King and Emperor's Navy.
