The author provides a brief survey on the state of elaboration of archive aids in the Military Historical Archive (VHA) in Trnava since its foundation on 1 May 1995 - including the year 1998. The VHA was formed from delimited funds of the Military Historical Archive in Prague, what was realised after 1993. The author outlines the conditions of creating particularly the two-volume Guide to funds and collections, list of inventaries and registers of topic background research to archive funds. The catalogues, card registers and registers of special collections form a special group of illustrating aids.
