The study deals with the problems of the state borders of Slovakia within the restored Czechoslovak Republic in 1945-1950. It documents its response to specific problems and risks to outer security of the state after the end of the second world war and concurrently to the formation of the new political and politico-military arrangement in Europe. The study is elaborated on an extensive archive research. The author came to the conclusion, that protection of the state border on the territory of Slovakia in 1945-1950 responded to specific security problems and risks, as well as to the formation of a new political configuration of Europe, as well as to its deepening military and political polarisation.
