Study deals with national problemacy within Austrian-Hungarian Army, particularly with national questions of Slovak Army. Author analyzes on the one hand Slovak society s attitudes to the warfare and at the other hand government and military countermeasures. The article depicts the combat activity and esteem of heroism of Slovak soldiers on front -line combat operations of World War I. As well as draws the plastic picture of desert causes and their rebelion in rear, also in front units. Author shows how the growth of national consciousness within the army influeced the disintegration of Habsburgh Monarchy.
