The study deals with the partial problem from the Czechoslovak troops history acting in the Middle East to that up to now the Slovak historiography did not pay relevant attention. He paid particular attention to the representation and activity of the chaplains of Slovak nationality. In the wider context of fights of the Czechoslovak unit in the Middle East the central attention was paid to Pavol Šuľan —the strong personality of chaplains — Yugoslavian citizen of Slovak nationality. In the study the author describes the activity of chaplains in the Czechoslovak Army in the Middle East, its personnel problems and refers to its importance in the life of troops. During his work the author took relevant archives as well as works not published till now for his starting point.
