The study deals with the problems of the Protection Division of the Slovak Army acting in the occupied territory of Ukraine and Byelorussia from November 1942 to the end of October 1943. It connects to the study on the Protection Division in the Occupied Territory of Ukraine and Byelorussia (September 1941 — November 1943). The author refers to the significant change of the Security Division tasks when its main forces were withdrawn from the protection of the railway line of Pinsk —Gomeľ and the line of Kyjev — Korosteii — Sarny and were deployed to the offensive operations against partisans in the area to the south of the line of Pinsk — Gomer’. The author also analyses the critical development in division troops, especially the contacts of their members and partisans and going over to the partisans that even in March 1943 led to the decision on transfer of the Protection Division to the area of Minsk but this transfer started only at the end of June 1943. The author refers to the fact that the character of the tasks did not change in the new medium. From 1 August 1943 this Division was renamed to the 2nd Infantry Division. The author states that in spite of the German command pressure and division command efforts they did not succeed in preventing the destructive process in its units that in October 1943 led to the decision on its re-organisation to the technical brigade and its detachment to Italy.
