The study follows up with the material published in the Military History No 2/1998 under the name The Slovak Army Campaign at the Eastern Front in 1941. The study describes defence positions at the Eastern Front in 1941 that lasted till the beginning of the 2nd half of July 1942. He describes the circumstances in which the Rapid Division went into the offensive - within the German summer offensive at the Southern wing of the Eastern front. From the half of August 1942 the Rapid Division Units had to get through serious battles in the green mountain terrain. The author refers to the fact that serious problems of the Rapid Division were caused by the growing activity of guerillas and assault teams of the Soviet troops acting behind the front. He describes also defence positions at the Psekups river. He refers to the comprehensive character of combat activity, casualties and supply problems concerning all kinds of material.
