The study deals with breakthrough events of 1918 — 1919 when the borders of Slovakia have been formed with special focus on their formation between Czecho-Slovakia and Hungary. In its introductory parts the study refers to the important and complex situation, in which Czech and Slovak representatives concentrated their efforts at elaboration of background materials in order to justify their statements and requirements then in writing elaborated to 11 memoranda and officially submitted to the Peace Conference in Paris. The part describing formation of the 2nd demarcation line, in which the author stated new aspects and new documents on the decision concerning the 2nd demarcation line, is of special importance.
