The author specified personal funds of soldiers from the archive aspect.  He referred to the fact that

despite large number of papers of military character just personal funds of soldiers exist in minimum number. He explains that papers elaboratedby military officials were almost always of classified char-

acter, i.e. military secret registries administered them and if they were not destructed, later they became a part of respective archive fund. In socialism the situation was even more complex. Other speciality consists in the fact that up to 1992 the keeping of archival funds lied within the competence of Military Historical Archives in Prague. After the Republic split a part of the fund was delimited to Trnava where is at present only one special fund — general Catlo§'s fund as well as the collection of memorial works.
