A paper of the scientific worker of the Military Historical Institute in Warsaw is first of all focused on the small use of own scientific potential in the armaments industry of Poland in first 2 decades after the World War II. It is not a complex and deep analysis of these issues but an outline of main questions and problems or their summary and abstract. It is a material demonstrating that many problems of defence industry development and armaments production in Poland and in Czecho-Slovakia after the World War IT had the same or similar character. A main difference was probably only in the starting industrial base, its extent, concentration and traditions of the armaments production as well as the number and professional level of development and technical workers. Accordingly, the data on rapid expansion of scientific-research and construction-technical base in Poland in 50s are of great importance, not only from institutional but also from personal aspect.
