In the introduction the author describes the Munich Agreement from 29th August 1938 on surrender of border parts of Czechoslovakia — Sudety to Germany. This Agreement was signed by the highest representatives of Germany, Italy, France and Great Britain without the presence of Czechoslovakia as precisely worked out and implemented aggression by means of peace. In this context the author analyses the position of German minority in Czechoslovakia from which the basic question of bilateral German-Czechoslovakian relations developed, as well as the main problem of European policy. The author gradually analyses intents and concrete diplomatic steps of Western European countries to this problem. At the same time he refers to the fact that establishment of concrete territorial claims from Nazi Germany had become an immediate signal for Poland and Hungary to assert their territorial claims against Czechoslovakia. The author also depicts the atmosphere at Czechoslovakian embassies. He points out the attitudes of public during September 1938 and modification of these mindsets.
