The author has mapped life destinies of outstanding personalities of military religious service in Bohemia and Slovakia in the first half of 20% century that have been missing in historical publications up to now. The author has fallen back on long-lasting archival research in military and civil archives both in Bohemia and Slovakia, as well as on the studies of specialized ecclesiastical literature of Czech and Slovak provenience. In the introductory part of this research work, the author characterises briefly military religious service before the constitution of the 15 Czechoslovakian Republic. The period between wars is described in the second and the most comprehensive part. The study outlines status and position, assignments and objectives of religious service activities within the framework of Czechoslovakian defence power, it maps life milestones of its the most outstanding personalities.
