The author pursues the basic polarization of the power distribution in Europe since the end of 80s’ of 19th century. He points out the Austria-Hungary showed more and more apparently that the Balkans was considered its sphere of interest so its military-political decisions were adjusted to the mentioned fact. Identification with Germany in a political and economical level caused that monarchy war plans fell under the influence of German strategic thinking more and more, even though the modalities of monarchy military plans kept a relative independence. The author also monitors the importance of the Russian factor from the point of success or failure of the military plans. He stresses the influence of the factors of the Serbian front, Italy, Romania etc. He pays attention to the mobilization deployment of the Slovak units of V and VI corps.
