The author of the study (the Polish historian) elaborated a work and activities of the Polish lieutenant colonel in reserve — Waclaw Lipiňski who belonged to the complicated and controversial personalities of the II Republic of Poland during the Second World War. The author concentrates on the most important turning points in Waclaw Lipinski biography considering his scientific activities to which he dedicated himself since 1927 in the Military Historical Office and later on he examined the newest history of Poland and applied himself to a historical-journalist creation. At the beginning of the war he worked as a Chief of propaganda at the Defence Command in Warsaw. Also the course of his illegal ways from occupied Poland to Hungary through the territory of Slovakia in time of the Second World War is partially reconstructed in the study. The co-operation with some of the Slovaks in Budapest, where he worked as a member of an illegal organisation „Camp of Fighting Poland“, is also explained.
