The study's topic is a religious service in the Czechoslovakian land forces from 1940 to 1943. The author deals with the organisation of military religious service and the problems with the rank a table categorisation of chaplains. He describes the activities of chaplains of different churches in the Czechoslovakian army garrisons. He depicts in more details the work of military chaplains H. Vaníček (catholic one) and A. Kraus (Jewish one). He analyses religious composition of soldiers and corps of officers. He did not avoid neither administrative, financial and logistic/material conditions of operation religious service in the army. He also deals with very sensitive issues of leaving of soldiers from churches, religious tolerance and effort of the commanders to prevent the expressions of grudge especially against the members of the Jewish religion.
