On the basis of extensive research of archival sources, deposited at Military Historical Archive in Trnava, the author chronologically follows the operation of rapid division. He provides us with a large number of information on events that had taken place in the Rapid Division, including its deployment, combat activities, changing number status, personnel changes in the command of Rapid Division and its components, information on sub-ordination with the German command and other issues. The author evaluates briefly the general situation at the front and considering this context he describes Rapid Division within combat operations at the East front. Also personnel changes in the division command and individual measures of Rapid Division commanders for enhancement of the combat moral of the unit comprise the part of this study.
