The published study acquaints us with the fight of the Slavonic nations against the Turkish oppression in mentioned years. The author stress that this fight made clear the views of the political scene on the European events on the eve of the World War I. This struggle also specified concepts, opinions and perspectives of the politic coalitions or groupings and it strengthened internal politic life. The author illustrates the forms of manifestations of spontaneous anti-militarism, which reflected the attitude of the Slovak society to a large degree, mainly the attitude of country population to Austria-Hungaria Army and military and foreign policy of the Monarchy. They however consequently resulted in a whole set of internal regulations, stricter measures and sanctions directed against them.
