The published material deals with the history of one of the cruellest SS weapons formation, named after its founder — Paul Oskar Dirlewanger. This unit following its deployment in Byelorussia and the deployment against Warsaw Uprising participated in the fights against uprising forces in Slovakia and later on also in the front battles at the territory of Slovakia. The author provides details on this unit commander biography data, organisational changes completed in the unit and he also give us some facts about its activities.
