In the published paper the author described problems of beginnings of Czecho-Slovak resistance in tsar Russia during the World War I when the activity of countryman associations as well as the building of the Czech group has a significant place. The paper is focused on the Czech group incorporation and activity in the front close to the Hungarian-Galician frontier in Carpathians. The author managed to give quite a complex and attractive picture of the group activity in the northeast border of East Slovakia in the searched period.
