The paper deals with circumstances of the purchase of

horses done by the Slovak Ministry ofNational

Defence in the first half of 1944. This purchase was realised within the Slovak-Croatian commercial agreement and its purpose was besides others also to eliminate the Croatian clearing debt towards Slovakia. The author describes conditions of the purchase of these horses as well as difficulties with conducting the purchase.
