In the study the author focused on a detailed analysis of invasions of Mongols or Tatars to Slovakia in 1241 that were part of their invasion to Eastern and Central Europe. The study is based on comparison of results of the existing historiography analysing individual preserved contemporary materials of naration character and diplomatary documents. He approaches directions of Mongolian penetration to the territory of Slovakia as well as the strategic intention of their khan. He states that conquering the castles, towns, plundering the villages, killing the people, capturing the farm animals, grazing the green corn and meadows were attendant circumstances of plundering only in those regions through which Mongols ran. In the conclusion the author pointed out the fact that from geographic range they plundered smaller regions of Slovakia than was so far assumed.
