The study deals with issues of beginnings in forming the relations between the Czechoslovak and Polish troops formed abroad during the World War II. In the first part of the study the author compares conditions of their establishment in the territory of France after the occupation of Poland with the Nazi Germany troops as well as intentions of Polish and Czechoslovak foreign resistance leadership connected with possible building up the military units. In the second part of the study the author deals with contacts and co-operation between Czechoslovak and Polish Armies from October 1939 to June 1940, i. e. to the surrender of France. According to the author's conclusions, contacts between both the armies in France occurred mainly on the level of the Military Administration of the Czechoslovak National Committee, while personal meetings of Czechoslovak and Polish soldiers were rare and occurred particularly during military courses of the French Army.
