The author of the study elaborated the reconstruction of opinions on military and professional aspects of defence and protection of Slovakia's state border based on the analysis of command and command post exercises documents - their scenarios, practised situations and especially their solutions, decisions and standpoints of senior commanders from Slovakia in 1945 - 1950. The author takes note of proposed ways of military provision of western, central and eastern sections of the southern border of Slovakia in mentioned years.
