The published material approaches the assessing report of one of German generals at the Slovak Ministry of National Defence — general Schlieper on the Slovak Army of June 1944 and his assessing report to the Slovak President in 1944. It is marked with generally critical attitude to the activity of the Slovak Army few months before the Slovak National Uprising. The published material is a translation of the German original placed in the Military Historical Archive in Trnava. At the same time there is published the reaction of the Slovak Minister of National Defence General Ferdinand Čatloš to the mentioned report.
