The published material deals with dislocation, organisational and personal development of the Engineer Training Institution during its existence. At the same time it approaches the content aspect and material provision of preparation of commanding and technical personnel of engineer troops in this institution as well as the place in the system of the military education of the Czechoslovak Army. The paper represents a certain synthesis of so far published facts that the author extended with his own pieces of knowledge as the former graduate and later the member of the commanding corps of the Engineer Training Institution.
