The author results from an extensive research of archive sources located in the Military Historical Archive Trnava and follows the activity of the Slovak Army members — the First Infantry (later) Technical Division and destinies of members of its units from the beginning of 1944 to the end of October 1944. The study brings information on all relevant events that happenned in the division, including changes and dislocation of its units, on subordination to the German command etc. Before the own interpretation of the combat activity the author briefly evaluates general situation in front and resulting from this connexion he locates it in the context of the combat activity in eastern front.
