The author analyses connections with beginning a war conflict in Poland in September 1939 and points out that the operational activity of the air intelligence covered also part of the territory of Slovakia and Dukla pass. It describes the combat activity of the 56% Observation Squadron of the Army „Karpaty — Carpathians Mountains“ over the territory of Slovakia, composition of squadron crews as well as combat results during those days.
