The reviewed study deals with some issues of border events development in the district of Nitra in 1938 — 1945. This topic represents an integral part of regional history of southern Slovakia that was in the observed period significantly determined by detrimental Slovak-Hungarian relations after Vienna arbitration. The author observes members of armies of various states in connection with individual cases of crossing the state borders. He takes note of the way, in which the authorities of local state administration of both sides solved the cases of violating the border. In the introduction he analyses the situation in borderland in the period immediately after Vienna arbitration, he pays attention to tempers of  people on both sides, but also to a so-called intelligence war between both the states. The author divided individual cases of crossing the state borders in the observed stretch to several groups that he analysed separately.
