The study aims at the activity of the partisan squad Bohdan Chmeľnickij, part of the Partisan Brigade „Boženko“ commanded by Anatolij Antonovi¢ Areneckij, with a code name SneZinskij. Based on a detailed research of professional and commemorative literature the author tries to properly explain the activity of this squad. He points out that history of the partisan movement in Slovakia before 1989 may have been the most deformed issue of the Slovak historiography. The author brings under criticism the existing professional literature overlooking the fact that partisan documents often gave false data and his goal is to correct the partisan squad links.
