In the published study the author outlined the characteristics of one important personality in the military history of Slovakia in the 20th century. He points out that referring to just mentioned military history of Slovakia, the Czecho-Slovak Legions and involvement of Slovaks in the establishment of the Czecho-Slovak Republic (ČSR), the movement of former legionnaires — Slovaks in the 20’s and partially also in the 30s, the anti-fascist resistance during the 1st Slovak Republic as well as the Slovak National Uprising, are inseparably connected with the name of this general.
