In the introduction of her study the authoress focused on clarifying a position of Bratislava that played an important role in plans of French emperor Napoleon during the war in 1805. She states that Bratislava was affected by two invasions of French troops in that year, after the Battle of Austerlitz it became part of a demarcation line and fell to French occupation zone and it was also a place of peace talks that were finished by signing the French-Austrian Peace Treaty on 26 December 1805. A choice of Bratislava as a place of talks was probably also part of a game with Hungarian card that was one of means of Napoleon´s pressure on the Austrian Party. After the Bratislava Peace Treaty Austria had to acknowledge French territorial conquests in western Europe. In the conclusion she explains territorial losses of Habsburg Monarchy.
