Working on available archive sources and correspondence the contribution aims at outlining and describing a course of diplomatic negotiations after the Battle of Austerlitz (Bataille d´Austerlitz), with a main emphasise on events connected with the town Bratislava (Presbourg at that time) where these talks were terminated by concluding the Peace Treaty. It points out the forgotten fact that this peace was signed on 27 December and not on 26 December 1805 as generally stated. It is given that through peace made in Bratislava Habsburgs lost their impact upon the development in German countries and almost millennial Holy Roman Empire of German Nation ended its existence not long afterward and released its place to the Rhine Confederation under French protection.
